Photography Exhibition by Gilad Bar Shalev

In May 2024, the portrait photographer Gilad Bar Shalev wandered around the Nir Am neighborhood, adjacent to the destroyed police station in Sderot, and met young and old residents, who shared with him their sources of resilience and the ability to cope/their tenacity.. The exhibition is presented in front of the commemoration complex in memory of the policemen murdered at the police station, in order to remind that alongside the traumatic memory, there are residents full of resilience, who gather strength and optimism every day.

The Sderot Resilience Center, which operates nearby, deals with strengthening the resilience of residents, organizations and communities through individual and group treatments.
